Matt Herman is Co-Founder & CTO of EngineLab, where he leads platform strategy and technical delivery, specializing in cloud transformation, scalable infrastructure and global expansion. With nearly two decades in Media & Entertainment, he's focused on helping creative studios modernize, scale and optimize their infrastructure, not with generic cloud solutions, but ones built around how a studio actually works.

Before EngineLab, Matt was CTO at Psyop, where he led the company's transition from an on-premises operation to a fully cloud-based studio. He migrated over 250 artists and enabled Psyop's expansion into new markets, including Berlin, Mexico City, Hamburg and Stuttgart.

Previously, Matt co-founded, scaled and exited Trace VFX, a 1,200-person VFX outsourcing company acquired by Technicolor. At Technicolor, he drove the company's global cloud strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held technical roles at The Mill and Deluxe, focused on high-performance computing, post-production and VFX.
