As an Industrial Official, Liam supports and organises performing artists engaged by streaming platform productions, such as Netflix, Disney+ and Apple. His responsibilities include negotiating and enforcing Equity’s collective bargained agreements, and working with members and producers to secure fair terms and conditions in the workplace.

Liam has led the union’s industrial response to the development of AI. A current priority is negotiating new AI protections into Equity’s film and television contracts. Prior to this, Liam launched Equity’s AI toolkit with a template contract for digital cloning work. Liam previously worked as a Policy Officer and launched Equity’s campaign, Stop AI Stealing the Show, calling on the government to protect and strengthen performers’ rights. Before joining Equity, he was a Senior External Affairs and Policy Manager for the Independent Society for Musicians.
