Alice Taylor is Head of BBC Studios’ AI Creative Lab, a newly established initiative focused on accelerating innovation across the company’s global production business. In this role, she is responsible for defining and delivering the Lab’s strategic roadmap, ensuring AI is applied in ways that are creative, editorially robust, and commercially relevant. She also serves as BBC Studios’ principal advocate for AI usage in production, leading a specialist team of creatives, technologists and producers to explore how emerging technologies can unlock new opportunities across Scripted, Unscripted, Global Productions, Audio, and Kids & Family content. 

Prior to joining BBC Studios, Alice spent almost a decade at The Walt Disney Studios, where she led the acclaimed StudioLAB programme and delivered award-winning innovation in AI, immersive experiences, virtual production, real-time technologies and interactive storytelling. Her career spans senior leadership roles at Disney, the BBC, Channel 4 and venture-backed startup MakieLab, giving her more than two decades of experience at the intersection of creativity, technology and entertainment. 

An inventor on eleven technology patents and recipient of the Lumière Award for Distinguished Leadership in Technology, Alice has executive-produced pioneering projects across film, television, games, VR, AR and live experiences. She has served on the peer group leadership committees of both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Television Academy, for production and technology. With a passion for responsible innovation and storytelling, she is helping shape how BBC Studios harnesses AI to create bold new creative possibilities while maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity and audience trust.
