Alex Mahon
Alex Mahon is the Chief Executive of Superstruct Entertainment, one of the world’s leading festival and live entertainment groups. She is focused on driving growth through creativity, culture, and global scale, while ensuring Superstruct’s portfolio of iconic events thrives and stays true to their independent spirit.
She is also Chair of the newly launched Centre for Creative AI, a collaboration with UCL, the Royal College of Art, and The Brandtech Group. Alex spearheads initiatives exploring AI’s potential across film, fashion, media, music, and art, forging partnerships with industry leaders to develop commercially bold projects that spotlight real opportunities for innovation in the creative sector.
Previously, Alex was Chief Executive of Channel 4, where she led the transformation of the UK’s public service broadcaster into a digital-first media company. During her tenure, Channel 4 built the UK’s biggest free streaming service, became one of the largest social media brands in the country, and secured its long-term public ownership.
Her career spans leadership roles in media, technology, and global creative industries. She has been CEO of software company Foundry and of the international production powerhouse Shine Group. She began her career as a PhD Physicist, bringing a love of science and innovation into her leadership of creative businesses.
Alex is a passionate advocate for equitable representation, women’s health at work, and disability inclusion. She is an ambassador for London Tech Week and a Non-Executive Board Member of Chanel Inc.
